Intro to Volunteering — Registration

Thank you for your interest!

In order to achieve the mission and serve House families well, we rely heavily on Volunteers to be dependable AND consistent. Our goal is to match House needs with your interests so that the volunteer experience is a rewarding and fulfilling one.

The first step is to use the form below to sign-up for an Introduction to Volunteering meeting.

Note: Volunteers MUST be at least 16 years of age.

2. After the Introduction session, an application will be sent to all particpants via email. The application will include reference checks and proof of TB Health Clearance. After your application is accepted, an interview will be scheduled to assess interests, House needs, and shift availability.
3. Interviews will be scheduled based on House volunteer needs. Volunteers will be placed as soon as possible in the requested positions that have openings. Other applications will be put on file until there is a schedule or interest match. Once a volunteer role has been extended, we will request a background investigation for candidates 18 years and over. Inquiries into criminal backgrounds are necessary and are being posed solely because of the potential for ensuing interactions with Ronald McDonald House at Stanford children and families.
4. Initial orientation and training may need to take place on a shift other than the assigned shift. Formal training will occur over several weeks, however, we believe training and learning to be continuous.
5. Please note that we have received your registration for the next Introduction to Volunteering Session once you have hit “Submit”. You will not receive a follow up reminder or confirmation.
