There are many ways to get involved at the House!
Right now, we are looking for volunteers to fill these House positions:
House Support Volunteers
These positions will include working off a checklist to ensure that the House is well-stocked and tidy, disinfecting and organizing communal areas, and sorting donations. These positions require physical activity and volunteers may be required to be on their feet for the duration of the 2-3 hour weekly shift.
Community Program and Recreation Room Helpers
These positions will involve working in the activity rooms with children staying at the House. Volunteers must be willing to work with children ages 3-17 and feel comfortable interacting with diverse communities.
We welcome volunteers who can offer pro-bono professional services for House families. Some of these services may include but are not limited to massage therapy, haircuts, or yoga classes.
This is your first step to volunteering!
All potential House volunteers must attend an introduction session. This session covers the application process, provides an overview of available opportunities, and includes a short House tour.
Meetings are usually held the third Tuesday of the month from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m, unless otherwise indicated.

Please note that regular House volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and be able to volunteer for 2-3 hours on a weekly basis for a minimum commitment of six months. Please read more about the application process and requirements when you register for the required Introduction to Volunteering session.
